This Year's Holiday Card
To all my friends, old and new, near and far...Happy holidays. (This one started out simply as painting practice, but it turned into my holiday card.)
We have spoken before on your magnificent traditional matte art. Just thought I'd let you know that my latest (and very lengthy) article on my blog nzpetesmatteshot.blogspot.com is a comprehensive interview with Harrison Ellenshaw where we dissect Buena Vista Visual FX work as well as alot on his father and grandfather - both of whom need no introduction to you I'm sure.
There are plenty of your sensational Dick Tracy mattes as well as stunning painted mattes from things like Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken and the astonishingly photo real Dave. Harrison has many great stories to tell and regards you as THE best matte artist he'd had the privilege of working with. Take a wander down memory lane and enjoy!!
