I did this one a few weeks back, but never got around to posting it. I was trying out a new Photoshop brush my friend Dominique Louis came up with. Thanks Dominique!

  8. Hi Paul!
    Good Morning from Italy!

I'm Emiliano Viscardi, set designer teacher at Brera Academy of Fine Arts. I hope you remember me and my students. :-))

Also this year we'll going to visit the more famous movie studios in the world.
We'll be in New York City and Los Angeles from march 09 to march 21.

I would ask your precious help in showing us interesting places and meet show-biz people.

As always, your help and your cooperation will be fundamental for the success of this trip. Thank you very much for what you can do for us...

    See you soon.

  22. I haven't seen such painterly quality from a digital artist. It's great to see it can be done and in such a superior way. This piece is stunning in it's simplicity and the light is mesmerizing. Great blog!

  28. Hey Paul, Love your works especially the ones on Pod Architecture. I'm currently a student in the field of Architecture and I recently acquired an Intuous 4 drawing tablet. I'd love to be able to draw like you, do you have any tips or suggestions on how I should proceed in learning the to use the drawing tablet? Hope to hear from you. Cheers!

    Yours,
    Aaron

  29. Hi Paul,

Just wanted to say thanks so much for what you share on your blog - its really served as an inspiration for me.

I was an out of work illustrator masquerading as a graphic designer, then I happened to watch the extras on the lord of the rings trilogy that showcased your paintings, among others. This really clicked with me and I was inspired that there was life for my illustration career yet. From there I read the Lord of the Rings artwork books and then found your blog.

Though I am miles and miles away from your level of technique I just find that whenever I see your work a voice inside me says 'Go for it!'

At the moment I actually have regular illustration commissions - compared to where I was a few years ago this is a complete miracle. Hopefully Im improving as I go - like Marcelo Vignali says 'Its about the journey'.

Thanks a million! Look forward to seeing more of your work :)

    Daniel
